Demonstrating Increasing Interest In The Brazilian Market, BYD Is Bringing To Brazil Its New Electric Sedan Han EV. The Model Features A Range Of 605 Km And Has The New Blade Battery
The first batch of the BYD Han electric sedan recently arrived in Brazil, Mexico, Uruguay, Colombia, Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica. The start of the new electric car’s debut, which has a range of 605 km, in Latin America will happen a few weeks after BYD confirmed the sale of electric and hybrid cars in the country. This initiative marks the first step toward sales of passenger electric vehicles in Brazil, which the company recently confirmed would begin in 2022, but without specifying a list of models or a launch date.

So far, BYD has already registered the BYD Song Plus, a hybrid SUV, which has been seen circulating in the streets of Greater São Paulo (SP). New Electric Sedan Is One Of The Main Competitors Of Tesla Model 3, With A Range Of 605 Km
In terms of motoring, the new Han EV features two options, the first comes with an electric motor of 222 horsepower and a torque of 33.6 kgfm, allowing the vehicle to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds, and another version with a dual motor offering 494 horsepower and a torque of 69.3 kgfm, capable of going from 0 to 100 in an incredible 3.9 seconds.
Both models reach a top speed of 190 km/h. The 77 kWh battery ensures a range of 550 km for the all-wheel-drive model and 605 km for the variant with only one electric motor.
The electric sedan also stands out for its new DiPilot driving system with artificial intelligence for technology and 5G learning.
Also Meet The Song Plus
Expected to arrive in Brazil next year, the Song PLUS features a battery of 71.7 kWh, with a density rate of 140 Wh/kg. Inside, the model has a floating design concept, an interior gradient finish between brown and black, as well as suede and other materials.
The trunk volume of the model is 574 liters with the seats up or 1,477 liters with the seats down. In China, prices range from $17,110 to $21,250; however, in the Brazilian market, it will come at a more “expensive” price.
In the hybrid versions of the Song Plus, a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine of 110 horsepower and a torque of 135 Nm are offered. Together, they provide a combined power of up to 198 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque. Its range can reach 1,200 km.
