Macaé, the City of Energy, is already possible to feel the path of progress and prosperity amidst the intense rhythm of machines and operators working in areas of thousands of square meters located by the RJ-168, bringing to memory the “boom” of oil, originating in the 80s with the occupation of Imbetiba by Petrobras. The good news doesn’t stop there, the Port Terminal of Macaé receives preliminary license and will generate about 18,000 new job vacancies!
The Macaé of the future grows in the west. Two projects mark the city’s turnaround from periods of uncertainty and lead to a new moment, reaffirmed by positive evidence of 2,100 new job vacancies registered by the city from January to October of this year.

The thermoelectric plant that is in the licensing phase was financed by Mitsubishi, Shell, and Pátria Investimentos for about US$ 700 million.
The city also has the Cabiúnas Terminal, which will provide not only the establishment of industries from different sectors but also consolidate a new urban development and infrastructure hub, which already has substantial investments from the city government.
