Toyota Is Preparing to Launch the 13th Generation of the Corolla in 2025, Promising Significant Transformations That May Surpass Competitors Sentra and Civic.
The Toyota Corolla, known for being the best-selling car in the world, is about to receive a substantial update. The new generation, expected in 2025, will retain the TNGA platform and will introduce features such as the possibility of 100% electric versions, aligning with current automotive market trends.
Inspired by Toyota’s BZ electric models, the 2025 Corolla will have a refreshed look, influenced by the BZ3 electric sedan. The design includes C-shaped full LED headlights, bumpers with new air intakes, and a coupe-like roofline. The taillights will be interconnected and will also feature full LED lighting.
Dimensions and Variations of the New Corolla
The new Corolla will have slightly larger dimensions, with a length of approximately 4.65 meters and a longer wheelbase than the current model. The lineup will include the traditional sedan, the SUV Corolla Cross, a sporty GR hatchback, and, exclusively for the European market, the Corolla Touring Sports (wagon).

The equipment list will be expanded to include items such as electronic parking brake, dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, front seats with ventilation and electric adjustments, as well as a 10-inch multimedia system with advanced connectivity.
Powertrain and Efficiency
Toyota plans to introduce fully electric options in the Corolla, as well as a new turbo engine that will replace the current 2.0 naturally aspirated engine. There will also be hybrid options, including the highly efficient 2.0 hybrid system and plug-in hybrids for greater electric range.
In terms of safety, the new Corolla will be even more complete, featuring adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go functionality, thanks to the electronic parking brake, lane-keeping and correction assistants, collision alerts, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
With all these innovations and improvements, the Toyota Corolla 2025 promises to be a strong competitor in the market, directly challenging models like the Sentra and Civic. The new generation will bring a combination of efficiency, technology, and design that may further solidify the Corolla’s leadership position in the sedan segment.
