Trident Energy Has Big Ambitions for Brazil. “We See Activities Increasing, Production Growing, and Reserves Being Developed,” Said the Company’s CEO.
Trident Energy, a Brazilian oil company composed of one of the most experienced teams in the sector, in the science of operation and modernization of mature oil and gas assets, is seeking an experienced partner to develop the Siri discovery, in shallow waters of the Campos Basin. The asset is located near the Badejo and Linguado fields, at the Pampo Hub.
The news was announced last Wednesday (September 28), by the company’s CEO, Jean-Michel Jacoulot, during participation at the Rio Oil & Gas. He informs that Trident plans to launch the teaser for the business in the coming weeks.
“We will seek a partnership with someone motivated for this new and exciting opportunity,” said Jacoulot.

According to him, Siri is estimated to have 2 Bboe (billion barrels of oil equivalent). The asset is an opportunity to recover production volumes from Pampo and Enchova.
Pampo and Enchova were acquired from the state-owned Petrobras in 2020, for US$ 418.6 million (plus US$ 650 million in contingent payments). Today, their 10 fields produce approximately 25,000 boe/d.

“I believe we can double that volume in a reasonable time frame,” pointed out the executive, highlighting that the concession contract is valid until 2054.
“We have big ambitions for Brazil. We see activities increasing, production growing, and reserves being developed.”
The CEO also said that the company will deactivate 58 wells in the Pampo and Enchova hubs, but there is currently no schedule to do so.
