EAD Specializations at Unesp: Which Courses Have the Slots
The largest offering is in the Health Management course, with 250 slots and nationwide reach.
The specialization is aimed at professionals who have graduated in the health field and are working or wish to work in service management within the Unified Health System (SUS), according to the announcement requirements.
Other four specializations have 150 slots each, totaling 600 opportunities.
These include Youth and Adult Education (EJA), School Management, Education in Human Rights, and Education for Teaching Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture.
Although the format is entirely remote, the slots are organized by UAB centers, which serve as support structures for students.
The distribution chart in the announcement lists centers in cities like Botucatu, São José do Rio Preto, Araraquara, Franca, and various neighborhoods of São Paulo, varying by course.
Remote Classes and Virtual Environment: How the Specialization Works
The courses are offered in Distance Education with synchronous and asynchronous activities.
In practice, this means that part of the routine includes virtual meetings on dates and times previously informed, such as webinars, while another part is conducted in the Virtual Learning Environment, with readings, forums, and assessments within defined deadlines.
Though the proposal is for flexibility, the announcement highlights that frequent access to the virtual environment is necessary to keep up with courses, fulfill mandatory activities, and maintain communication with the teaching staff.
The document also states that there are no in-person stages planned throughout the course.
Who Can Apply and How the Selection Works Without an Exam
Requirements vary depending on the chosen specialization, but the general rule is to have a completed degree and to present a connection compatible with the course area.
In the case of Health Management, for example, the requirement involves training in the area and a professional profile geared towards management in health services under the SUS.
For specializations aimed at education, the announcement sets criteria related to professional activity, focusing on specific target audiences.
Therefore, the documentation submitted with the application plays a decisive role in confirming the candidate’s alignment with the conditions outlined for each course.
Selection is carried out exclusively through document analysis, following a scoring system described in scoring criteria attached to the announcement.
Among the items considered are academic qualifications and proven professional experiences, with specific rules for each specialization and limits on points by category.
In case of a tie, the announcement provides tie-breaking criteria that include priority for candidates aged 60 or older, as well as the highest score in the professional category in the scoring criteria.
Affirmative Actions and Reserved Slots for Priority Groups
The selection process provides for 30% of the slots reserved for affirmative action.
The announcement lists as the target audience people who are Black, Brown, and Indigenous, Quilombola, people with disabilities, and transgender people and transvestites, with self-declaration made at the time of registration.
The distribution between general competition and affirmative action is detailed by course and by center.
The document also provides for the possibility of reallocating slots if there are not enough candidates in one of the lists, respecting the order of classification indicated in the announcement.
How to Apply
Applications are made exclusively through the Unesp Specialization System (Sisesp), within the deadline of January 23, 2026 to February 6, 2026, with submission of the required documentation and payment of the R$ 20 fee by February 7, 2026.
