Registrations are open for the free courses of the Profissão Construir program, an initiative of the Joinville Construction Industry Union (SINDUSCON), in partnership with the Municipal City Hall. The trainings are aimed at those who wish to qualify to work in construction, with classes scheduled for June and July.
Among the available courses are Construction Assistant, Masonry Mason, and Electrical Assistant. All are offered free of charge and include benefits such as transportation vouchers, snacks, and the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Training for Masons Starts on June 9
The Masonry Mason course is scheduled to begin next Monday, June 9, and will run until July 15. Classes will take place at Senai Norte, located at Arno Waldemar Döhler Street, 957 – North Industrial Zone, every Monday and Tuesday from 6 PM to 10 PM.

Electrical Assistant Course Will Be Offered in Itaum
Starting on June 16, the free Electrical Assistant Course – Module 1 will be held at Cesita (Monsenhor Gercino Street, 1040 – Itaum). Classes will take place from Monday to Thursday, from 7 PM to 10 PM, with an expected end date of July 15.
As with the training for masons, participants must be at least 18 years old and have completed the basic Construction Assistant course or demonstrate previous experience in the electrical sector. Safety materials will also be provided by the course organization.
Construction Assistant Course Opens New Class in July
The Construction Assistant course will open a new class between July 7 and 24. Classes will occur from Monday to Thursday, from 6 PM to 10 PM, at Senai Norte. In this case, teenagers from 16 years old can enroll, provided they are currently attending or have completed high school.
The training serves as a gateway for those looking to start a professional career in construction. Students receive technical and practical training, focusing on safety, tool use, and basic task execution on construction sites.
New Openings Planned for the Second Semester
For the second semester of 2025, Profissão Construir plans to open new classes for the courses of Hydraulic Installer, Building Painter Assistant, and Light Steel Frame Assistant. Dates and locations will be announced in the coming weeks through the official program website.
All free courses offered follow registration criteria on a first-come basis, and open spots are limited. Therefore, the organization recommends that interested individuals register as soon as possible to secure participation.
More Than 500 People Have Been Trained
Since the launch of Profissão Construir, over 500 people have participated in the offered trainings. In total, 45 classes with 12 different types of courses have been conducted. Just in 2025, about 170 workers have been trained. Of these, 80% are already working in the job market.
The results obtained by the program indicate the existing demand for skilled labor in the construction sector in Joinville and surrounding areas. Furthermore, free training helps more professionals enter the sector with technical knowledge and safety awareness.
