Vibra Energia: Investment in Clean Energy and Sustainable Development
He emphasizes that the paths presented at the 28th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28), in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, point to a slowdown in the consumption of fossil fuels.
‘This agenda [of decarbonization] tends to accelerate, COP28 is increasingly showing this path. And this slowdown in the use of fossil fuels will happen over the next few years. Fossil fuel will still be with us for a long time, but we will see the growth of renewable energy‘, stated the CEO during his participation in the opening panel of the seminar The Future of Energy Comes from Vibra, organized by epbr agency (check the complete coverage above).
According to Pousada, the company invested approximately R$ 4 billion in energy transition in recent years.
Vibra has been dedicated to building a multienergy platform, aiming to diversify its product portfolio, in line with the changing consumption behavior of customers.
He highlighted examples of this movement, such as the acquisition of 50% of Comerc, which has an installed capacity of 1.6 GW of solar and wind energy; of ZEG Biogás, focused on the production of biomethane; the formation of Evolua Ethanol, a joint venture with Copersucar for the commercialization of ethanol; and the company’s entry into the vehicle charging segment, through EZVolt.
Commitment to Decarbonization and Renewable Energy
‘We are fully committed to this, we recognize the importance of COP28. COP30, which will be held in Brazil, will also be crucial, and we plan to accelerate, increasingly expanding our plans and offering alternatives for all our customers to reduce their carbon emissions‘, emphasized Ernesto Pousada. Thus highlighting Vibra Energia‘s commitment to decarbonization and the promotion of clean energy.
