The Automaker Expects Possible Investments in the Renewable Energy Sector
Although many see it merely as a purchase and adaptation of the automaker to a renewable policy, the truth is that VW is also considering investing in energy efficiency, with a goal of having more than 700 initiatives for using renewable energy solely in Brazil.
The planning director stated that he will maintain his focus on more traditional business lines and will not invest in projects without clear financial prospects. “It is a decarbonization goal within a timeline; it does not mean that we will enter any project with unclear results. We continue to operate on all fronts.”
