The new foldable phone from the Chinese brand had details revealed in recent certifications and, even before its official launch, is already making headlines. New Camera Setup with Samsung Sensor
Another point that is expected to gain attention in the Mix Flip 2 is the camera setup. According to the Xiaomitime portal, the new model will feature a 50 MP ultrawide camera, using the Samsung S5KJN5 sensor. This sensor would replace the old 50 MP telephoto lens of the original Mix Flip.
The idea is for the new Mix Flip 2 to use digital zoom with cropping from the main sensor instead of a dedicated lens, a strategy that other brands, including Samsung with the Galaxy S25 Edge, have also adopted.
The main camera is expected to remain at 50 MP, while the front camera stays at 32 MP, ensuring good selfies and video calls.
Premium Specifications: Snapdragon 8 Elite and Up to 1 TB Storage
Although not all specifications have been confirmed, it is expected that the Mix Flip 2 will arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, one of the most powerful processors currently available—already present in models like the Xiaomi 15 and other flagship devices of 2025.
Additionally, the new foldable phone from Xiaomi should maintain generous memory and storage configurations, with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage, ideal for those looking for performance and ample space for files, photos, videos, and heavy apps.
Dual Screen and Impressive Brightness

Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the release date of the Mix Flip 2, but the device’s model number—2505APX7BC—provides an interesting clue. The prefix “2505” suggests a possible announcement in May 2025. In other words, we may see the new rival to the Z Flip making its appearance very soon.
