Equinor signs a partnership with Azevedo & Travassos for the Raia Project in the Campos Basin, investing R$500 million in a gas pipeline and facilities, scheduled for 2028.
Equinor, in partnership with Azevedo & Travassos Infraestrutura, took a significant step towards the development of the Raia Project (BM-C-33), in the Campos Basin pre-salt, by signing a letter of intent for the construction of the section land of the gas pipeline and gas reception facilities natural gas. This project, which represents a milestone in the sector, has a contract estimated at R$500 million, following the EPCIC modality (Engineering, Supply of Equipment and Materials, Construction, Installation and Commissioning), with an execution period of approximately 46 months.
Million-dollar partnership between Equinor and Azevedo & Travassos in the oil and gas sector
Located in Macaé, in Rio de Janeiro, the Raia Project work will count on the participation of the consortium formed by Equinor (35%), Repsol Sinopec Brasil (35%), and Petrobras (30%).
The companies plan to invest around US$9 billion in the development of the Raia Manta and Raia Pintada fields.

Offshore gas pipeline and advanced technologies for the development of the Campos Basin
Gas transportation will be carried out through a 200 km offshore gas pipeline, connecting the platform to the city of Cabiúnas, in Macaé.
Gas sales will follow this route, while liquids will be transported by tankers.
With recoverable volumes estimated at more than 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent, the Raia Manta and Raia Pintada areas represent a substantial reserve of natural gas and condensate.
To make the project viable, Modec will supply the FPSO, while TechnipFMC will be responsible for the subsea equipment.
This will be the first project in Brazil to treat offshore gas, connecting to the national grid without the need for additional processing on land.
The partnership between Equinor and Azevedo & Travassos promises to contribute significantly to the Brazilian energy sector, strengthening the country's presence in the global natural gas market.
