Gas and Renewable Energy Technologies Center Opens Registration for Free Technical Specialization in Wind Farms Exclusive to Women
The AES Brasil, a producer of electricity derived from renewable sources, and the Gas and Renewable Energy Technologies Center (CTGAS-ER), which is part of SENAI of Rio Grande do Norte, have started the registration period for the selection process of the Free Technical Specialization Course in Maintenance and Operation of Wind Farms. The selection process is specifically for women living in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The state is a pioneer in the production of onshore wind energy at the national level.
According to the announcement, a total of sixty vacancies will be filled. The goal is to increase the number of women professionals participating in activities in the wind energy sector, which is currently dominated by male specialists.

The technical specialization in wind farms will be offered for free; participants will have the opportunity to attend classes that will be taught online, live. In addition to these classes, there will be an in-person meeting at the CTGAS-ER headquarters in the state capital, Natal.

The classes are scheduled to be taught in 2023, on a date that will still be announced. The minimum workload will be 460 hours, approximately the same as a six-month course.
What are the Basic Prerequisites to Participate in the Selection Process
To participate in the selection process and compete for a spot in the Free Technical Specialization Course in Maintenance and Operation of Wind Farms, it is necessary to have completed high school, be at least 18 years old, provide proof of permanent residence in Rio Grande do Norte, and have technical training in at least one of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, or safety at work.
