On February 1st, a MoU was signed between the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) and the Brazilian Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments (ApexBrasil).
As part of this pact, the trade organizations of both countries will share data on the progress of their respective economies in an effort to increase trade opportunities and enhance business and industrial collaboration between companies and organizations from both nations.

The agreement was signed at ApexBrasil’s Brazilian offices by FBCCI President Md Jashim Uddin and ApexBrasil’s Business Director Ana Paula Repezza, according to a press release.
The two organizations agreed to work together to promote trade and attract investments in Brazil. This includes sharing relevant information, knowledge, and approaches.
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), startups, incubation centers, research institutions, investors, and other key stakeholders from both nations will benefit from the exchange of information and experiences from the parties in supporting and enabling cross-border trade and collaboration.
When business delegations from Bangladesh or Brazil travel to the other country, both will do their utmost to make the journey as easy and productive as possible for both sides.
According to Md Jashim Uddin, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will strengthen trade ties between Bangladesh and Brazil and highlight the potential to deepen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the FBCCI, the FBCCI President invited Brazilian businesspeople to participate in the Bangladesh Business Summit 2023, which will take place from March 11 to 13 in Dhaka.
The President of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, praised Bangladesh’s achievements nationally and internationally and expressed optimism that the negotiations would strengthen trade ties between the two countries.
Among those present at the signing were the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Brazil, Sadia Faizunnessa, and the Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Tapan Kanti Ghosh.
The President of the FBCCI was part of a group of six individuals who traveled to Brazil to enhance regional trade in Bangladeshi products.
