The South Korean Car Manufacturer Kia Motors Said on Wednesday That It Is Evaluating Cooperation on Self-Driving Electric Cars with Several Companies, Including Apple
Kia Motors’ comment, issued in a regulatory filing when its shares soared nearly 20% in Seoul, came after the domestic online publication Edaily reported on Tuesday that Kia’s parent company, Hyundai Motor Group, decided that Kia would be responsible for the cooperation proposal with Apple in the electric car sector. The report cited unidentified industry sources.

More and more, it seems that Apple’s electric car project entitled – Apple Car is far from dead. The brand also stated on Wednesday that it is seeking cooperation with foreign companies involving motor vehicles and electric vehicles. Kia made no mention of Apple, although the comment follows reported connections with the tech giant.
Battle of the Giants: Apple Competing with Tesla

The decision to transfer the electric vehicle project entitled Apple Car to Kia instead of producing it under Hyundai apparently hinges on the brand’s reputation.
Reports suggest that Apple’s car would essentially turn any manufacturing partner it chooses into just an assemblers, rather than a brand established in its own right, even Tesla.
