Tesla Electric Cars Available for Subscription May Reach R$ 15,000 a Month

Despite all the fame they carry, Tesla electric cars are few in Brazil, kept away from consumers due to bureaucratic import processes and lack of assistance, among other reasons. Eliminating such obstacles for its customers, Osten Group, specialized in premium cars, began offering, since the beginning of the week, a subscription service that provides the electric cars of Elon Musk’s company for up to four years to those interested in the national territory.

To enroll in the subscription program, in addition to having enough money to cover the monthly fee, the customer must have a valid driver’s license, be licensed for more than two years, and be over 21 years old. It is also necessary to present proof of address and income.

By the beginning of the second semester, four more units of electric cars from the American brand will be available for rent, including the other Tesla models: the large sedan Model S and the SUVs Model X and Model Y. The subscription price for these vehicles has not yet been defined.

Contract Duration

The monthly fee varies according to the mileage the driver chooses to cover – from 1,000 to 3,000 km per month – and the contract duration, which ranges from 12 to 48 months.

However, to have a Tesla Model 3, Y, S, or X in the garage, customers need to have an income, let’s say, above average for the Brazilian reality. The plan for the Model 3 Performance with 1,000 kilometers driven per month and a 48-month contract has a monthly fee of R$ 15,960. The shorter contract, for 12 months, has monthly fees of R$ 18,700.
