Accompanying a trend in the state of Amazonas, Judge Solange Maria Santiago Morais concluded that it was possible to resume the company’s activities, as is already happening in other segments of the economy in the state.
However, a series of recommendations were made, and the company will have to adopt health protection measures for workers, thus meeting the requirements of health authorities. Measures such as cleaning and decontaminating the Azulão Field, including internal and external spaces of the unit, will be necessary to continue its activities.
Eneva conducted Covid-19 tests on all workers at the Azulão Field, even for those workers who did not show symptoms.
The Azulão Field
The Azulão Field, in the Amazonas Basin, has Eneva as the operator of the contract and has a development area of 57.70 km², was discovered in 1999, and had its declaration of commerciality in 2004.
Amazonas will be the first state in Brazil to liquefy natural gas on land, as Eneva will produce natural gas, liquefy it, and transport it in LNG (liquefied natural gas) format, via trucks, to Boa Vista (RR), passing through the regasification terminal and delivered to the thermal power plant (UTE) Jaguatirica II, with an installed capacity of 117 MW, to supply the isolated system of Roraima.
