The Winner Mogai Submitted a Proposal to Petrobras to Collect a 3D Map of Offshore Platforms During Periodic Inspections
Petrobras informed last night (11/29) that Mogai, a startup from Espírito Santo, was one of the winners of the Petrobras Connections for Innovation program – Startups Module, in partnership with Sebrae. The company from Espírito Santo is one of the 18 companies chosen by the state-owned company for technological solution development and competed with over 360 others across the country. The winners will receive a total investment of R$ 10 million.
About the Mogai Project
Mogai presented a proposal to Petrobras to collect a 3D map of offshore platforms during periodic inspections. This project is expected to enable rapid and continuous generation of inputs, such as three-dimensional models from point clouds and high-resolution images.

These models will have multiple functionalities, being applicable in solutions for corrosion analysis, as-built, visual inspection, etc., thus increasing the efficiency in planning field interventions.
Mogai, along with the other 17 startups winning the Petrobras Connections for Innovation program, will have support from the state-owned company and Sebrae to ensure their solutions have proven benefits and business models that guarantee value generation in the short term and competitive market insertion.
“For projects successfully completed, Petrobras will seek to enable the continuity of their development, with the implementation and field testing of a pilot batch or pioneering service”, says the state-owned company in the statement.
