Without producing a single ton of copper today, Argentina wants to become one of the ten largest producers of the metal in the world by 2035, betting on the Andes deposits and billion-dollar incentives from the Milei government to unlock projects that have been stalled for decades.
Currently, Eurofarma has two plants operating across the country, one of which is located in the city of Itapevi, São Paulo, one of the most advanced pharmaceutical parks in all of Latin America, producing more than 411 million units of medications.
Industrial Complex
Eurofarma has a reliable history, a strong commitment to sustainability, and has developed technical facilities that meet international standards. Its industrial complex in Itapevi was built in accordance with various environmental regulations. All planning has focused on rainwater harvesting, as well as treating 100% of all waste (sewage and industrial) generated at the plant.
One of the highlights of the Eurofarma industrial complex is the implementation of a photovoltaic energy generation project, which now generates clean solar energy directly from solar radiation. The project, now in its second phase, has the capacity to supply about 10% of the demand from the Itapevi Unit. Since 2005, Eurofarma has also started planting native seedlings from the Atlantic Forest and maintains approximately 35,000 m² of green areas in the complex.
