Ford Announces Production Of New Electric Vehicles And Bold Sales Goal Until 2030
Ford, one of the largest automakers in the world, announced last week its new all-electric Ford F-150. The American company is making a strong entry into the electric vehicle market and, as a result, is already planning to build at least three new electric versions of its successful brand.
Ford provided more details about its plan to electrify its vehicles. A bold goal predicts that 40% of its sales will be from electric vehicles by 2030. The goal is ambitious and is expected to cost the automaker around 30 billion dollars.
As a result, many of its vehicles are expected to gain electric versions in the coming years. Several projects are already underway but still without a forecast to enter the market.

Brazilian scientists are simultaneously advancing two research projects on clean hydrogen and driving solutions that could transform the energy matrix, enhance industrial competitiveness, and accelerate large-scale emission reduction targets.

Advancement in renewable energy: A R$ 150 million project launched by Petrobras and Finep aims to create state-of-the-art electrolyzers for green hydrogen, strengthening national research and preparing Brazil to compete in a billion-dollar energy market.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.
The company is already developing two platforms for its electric vehicles. One will be specific for pickups, and the other can adapt to different sizes of vehicles.
Ford Plans To Surpass Tesla In Connectivity Of Its Vehicles
With the new electric F-150 already available for order in the US, Ford hopes to firmly enter the electric vehicle market and challenge companies that currently hold a larger share of the market, like Tesla. Jim Farley, CEO of the company, noted that he expects Ford to have more vehicles capable of being updated remotely than Tesla by next year.

“Yes, we will fully electrify the Explorer as you would expect, given our plan to deliver 40% of our lineup as fully electric vehicles by 2030. We will continue to leverage our strengths and electrify our icons in high-volume segments that we dominate today. We will share details later.” Ford stated in a press release.
The automotive market is changing, and those who fall behind may get into trouble. Honda, GM, and now Ford, have goals to increasingly produce electric vehicles instead of gasoline and/or diesel-powered vehicles.
