The auction includes vehicles seized for infractions in the region of Registro, on the southern coast of São Paulo.
The public notice, already published in the Official State Gazette, contains all the details and the complete list of the 501 lots.
Three Categories and Three Days of Auction
The auction organization divided the lots into three categories.
On the first day, August 4, 165 vehicles in conserved condition and suitable for circulation will be auctioned.
On the second day, August 5, it will be the turn of 258 usable scraps, ideal for dismantling and parts trading.
Finally, on August 6, 78 lots classified as unusable scraps, intended for foundry and recycling, will be auctioned.
Interested parties must register at least 48 hours before the session begins. The entire registration and participation process occurs on the site www.melhorleiloes.com.br.
Lot Information and Bid Values
Each lot contains detailed information in the public notice, such as brand, model, engine, color, year of manufacture, and minimum bid.
The starting values are defined based on the conservation state and the market value of each unit.
For conserved vehicles, bids must follow increments of R$ 100. In the case of usable scraps, bids increase by R$ 50 at a time.
Unusable scraps have their value calculated by weight, with an increase of R$ 0.02 per kilo.
Public Visitation of Vehicles
Interested parties can visit the vehicles from July 21 to 25, from 9 AM to 4 PM. The visit is only visual, without physical contact, testing, or handling.
The vehicles are located at the Helpio Nogueira Junior Vehicles yard, on the BR 116 highway – Northbound, km 484.4, Guaraú II, Cajati.
The yard can be contacted by phone at (13) 3821-1926 or by email guardadeveiculoscajati@gmail.com for any questions and scheduling.
Pre-Bid: How It Works and When It Happens
Interested parties can register early bids, called pre-bids, starting on July 28 at 9 AM. This feature serves as a preventive measure to avoid losses due to technical failures during the auction.
If a pre-bid is not surpassed during the public session, it automatically becomes the winning bid after 30 seconds. Bids, once registered, cannot be undone, as stipulated by Federal Law No. 14,133/2021.
It is worth noting that the vehicle owner can still recover it up to one business day before the auction. To do this, all debts, including fines, removal fees, and custody costs, must be paid.
Who Can Participate in Each Category
The Cajati auction is open to different profiles, depending on the category of the lots. For conserved vehicles, individuals and legal entities with active registration with the Federal Revenue can participate.
For usable scraps, participation is restricted to legal entities with active CNPJ and registration with the traffic authority for engaging in the trade of used parts. Finally, unusable scraps can only be acquired by companies in the foundry or steel industry.
Participation Restrictions
Even though it is an open auction, there are rules that prohibit the participation of certain groups. The following are prohibited:
- Servants of Detran-SP and their relatives up to the second degree
- Auctioneers and their team members, as well as their family members
- Owners, partners, or administrators of authorized yards
- Individuals and legal entities with legal impediments to contracting with the public power
These measures aim to ensure the integrity of the process and avoid conflicts of interest.
The auction sessions are expected to end at 6 PM.
However, in case of a technical failure of the auctioneer lasting longer than 30 minutes, the auction will be suspended and rescheduled, with a new date informed on the site.
If the problem is with the buyer, the session continues normally, without obligation to compensate the participant.
Therefore, the recommendation is that interested parties prepare in advance and use the pre-bid feature to ensure participation.
