Company’s Sustainability Plan Seeks to Set Timelines for Carbon Emission Reduction and Ensure Greater Environmental Commitment in Transportation
Hidrovias do Brasil is a giant in the transportation sector and operates as an integrated logistics solutions company in four areas: inland waterway transportation, terminal operations, cabotage, and integration of logistics services. Thus, the company seeks to provide even more efficient alternatives for these operations in South America and integrate countries for faster, more practical trade relations with good logistics, while always ensuring innovation in the sector.

The main highlight of the entire construction of Hidrovias do Brasil’s sustainability plan for the next 8 years is the transparency with its employees and the public. This is because the entire project was developed with public participation and through the disclosure of reports open to everyone. Hidrovias do Brasil’s sustainability plan is currently focused on 6 major commitments, namely: Climate Change, Ethics and Transparency, Value Chain, Environmental Impacts, Local and Human Development, and Employee Health, Safety, and Development. Thus, the company will invest its efforts to bring new solutions for the transportation logistics chain, aligned with the 6 commitments of the plan.
Furthermore, the president of Hidrovias do Brasil, Fabio Schettino, emphasizes the company’s longstanding commitment to the environment and stated: “At Hidrovias do Brasil, we believe that sustainability is the pathway to a better future. The company was born with this sustainable focus, aimed at connecting South America through an efficient and clean modal.”
