With a capacity to generate 275 GWh per year, the plant in MG has an installation area of 256 hectares and an installed capacity of 112.5 MWp. This capacity is enough to supply over 120,000 households and prevents more than 128,000 tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.
According to Soltec Power’s CEO, Raúl Morales, the photovoltaic solar power plant’s construction, which is expected to create more than one thousand job opportunities, will continue to strengthen the company’s position in Brazil.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.

Africa has about 500,000 cell towers and most still burn diesel to operate, while companies rush to cover antennas with solar energy and avoid signal blackouts.
The photovoltaic solar power plant is expected to be completed by 2022, and it is estimated that 500 direct job opportunities and 800 indirect job opportunities will be generated. Aiming to minimize the impact of the solar power plant construction, Powertis has been collaborating with subcontracted companies on socio-environmental activities to maintain the quality of the project for its employees.
Photovoltaic Solar Energy in MG
In Minas Gerais (MG), solar energy is extensively explored, as the state has the highest number of solar panel projects in the country. This is due to the high solar irradiation index in the region and governmental incentives.
These investments in the solar sector in the state, besides creating sustainability for the ventures and generating job opportunities and income, will attract new types of investments.
About the Company
