Work on the photovoltaic solar power plant in the city of Araxá (MG) began, which promises to generate more than 1.000 jobs for the state. The company behind the works is Powertis, a company of the group Soltec Power, which is investing R$300 million in the construction of the plant in MG.

With capacity to generate 275 GWh per year, the plant in MG has an installation area of 256 hectares and an installed capacity of 112,5 MWp. This capacity is enough to supply more than 120 homes and prevents more than 128 tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere.
According to the CEO of Soltec Power, Raúl Morales, the work on the solar photovoltaic plant, which promises to generate more than thousand job vacancies, will continue to strengthen the company's position in Brazil.

A photovoltaic solar plant will be completed by 2022 and it is estimated that 500 jobs will be generated directly, and 800 jobs indirectly. With the aim of reducing the impacts of the works on the solar energy plant, Powertis has been working together with subcontracted companies in socio-environmental activities to maintain the quality of the work for its employees.
