There Are 60 Slots Offered by the Federal Institute in Free Courses for Those Interested in Learning English or Spanish from Home!

For those who wish to invest in their education and acquire skills in a new language, the Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS) has opened registrations for new slots in the free courses of English and Spanish, both with a workload of 160 hours and entirely online (EAD). This initiative, presented in Notice 01/2024, aims to provide a valuable opportunity for those seeking to enhance their language skills in the comfort of their homes.

How Many Slots Are Available in the Free English and Spanish Courses?

Mastering a new language not only enriches your resume but also opens doors to new professional and cultural opportunities.

The Federal Institute of Sergipe recognizes the importance of language learning and offers 60 slots in FIC — Initial and Continuing Education courses in the field of languages, aimed at any citizen interested in exploring English or Spanish.

Each course has a total workload of 160 hours, spread over 20 weeks.

During this period, participants will have access to 2 synchronous hours and 6 asynchronous hours per week, allowing for interactions among students and in-depth exploration of the topics addressed.

The options for free courses offered by the Federal Institute are:

Basic Spanish — 160 hours — 30 Slots;
Basic English — 160 hours — 30 Slots.

To register, simply access the selection process website (by clicking here) until January 29, 2024.

It is important to observe the educational requirement; at the time of registration, the candidate must be studying or have completed high school.

The selection process for slots in the free English and Spanish EAD courses will be carried out by Electronic Lottery, assigning classification according to the order drawn.

When Will Classes Start?

Classes in the free courses are scheduled to begin on February 29, subject to possible changes that will be communicated in due course, should they occur.
