Infrastructure Minister Approved Start of Construction Works for the Bridge Over the Araguaia River and the Urban Crossing of Formosa, Goiás
The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, signed the work order to begin the construction of two projects: the bridge over the Araguaia River on BR-080/GO, near the municipality of Luiz Alves, and the Urban Crossing of Formosa on BR-020/GO, in the state of Goiás.

The work order was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes Freitas, during a virtual event this Friday (07/24), with the participation of the Director-General of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), General Santos Filho, Governor Ronaldo Caiado, and lawmakers.
With the investments made in these works, it is expected to achieve road excellence in Goiás and make logistics and transport in the state more effective.

The Federal Government also published yesterday in the Official Gazette, the approval granted by the Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes that authorizes the resumption of the construction of the Angra 3 Nuclear Power Plant, which has been on hold since 2015.
The resolution signed by Guedes suggests that the construction plan for the plant continue with the coordination of a new Interministerial Committee composed of the Ministry of Economy, Institutional Security Office (GSI), and the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The act establishes a deadline of 180 days – extendable for the same period starting from August 7, 2020 – for the committee to carry out new work.
