Neoenergia continues to innovate in the payment facilities offered to customers and launches a new phase of the cashback campaign in partnership with PicPay. The initiative allows the return of money from the energy bill progressively and can reach up to R$15.
The bonus will be available exclusively to consumers of the Neoenergia Coelba (BA), Neoenergia Pernambuco (PE), Neoenergia Cosern (RN), Neoenergia Elektro (SP/MS), and Neoenergia Brasília (DF) distributors who are not yet users of the platform. By registering anew and paying the energy bill with the card registered in the PicPay app, the customer will receive the credit on the platform where, in the energy bill options. The promotion is valid until November 20.
The opportunity is for both old debts and new bills, and can also be taken advantage of by companies. For cash payments, it is possible to obtain a cashback of 40%, limited to R$15. On the platform, it is also possible to split bills, and the interest rate charged on transactions made with the credit card is defined by PicPay. For installments of 2 to 5 times, the cashback is 5%. For payments split into 6 to 11 times, 10% cashback is offered. Finally, those who split into 12x can enjoy 20% cashback.

To pay the energy bill with Picpay, simply download the app available on the App Store and Google Play and open your account. After registering, the customer must click the “Pay” button and select the “Pay boleto” option. Then just read or enter the barcode and finalize the transaction.

Payment Methods
This initiative is part of a series of actions that Neoenergia is taking with the goal of providing better experiences for customers and new payment methods. Since May 2021, the company has implemented the innovation of consulting and negotiating debts directly with the virtual assistant. Available on WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, the technology enables the request for more than 70 services in a practical and accessible way. In the first five months of operation alone, there were 46,276 negotiations carried out and a total of R$23.6 million in debts negotiated via chatbot, making it the most used channel by customers for this type of service.
Another innovation is the digital invoice service, which can be sent to the customer via email, WhatsApp, or SMS to replace the printed invoice, offering more convenience to the customer. Those who receive the digital invoice can also use PIX as a payment method, a service that was launched pioneeringly by Neoenergia in the electric sector. To this modality, partnerships with digital wallets, use of emergency aid, credit installments, direct debit, internet banking, and accredited payment units are added, as well as the possibility of negotiating overdue bills through the negotiation portal.
