Five-Year-Old Boy Receives Functional Mini Tractor Made by Father with Biz Engine in Taió (SC). Video Goes Viral and Moves the Country with Simple and Creative Gesture.

In a small town in the interior of Santa Catarina, a simple and touching story is moving the country. Farmer Evânio Will, from Taió, in the Alto Vale do Itajaí, decided to make his son’s dream come true: he built a functional mini tractor powered by a Biz scooter engine.

The gift was made for little Ithan Miguel Will, who is only 5 years old and loves to play farmer and help his dad with the chores on the farm. The video showing the boy driving the little tractor went viral on social media and has already surpassed 2 million views.

A Gift Made of Creativity and Love

Evânio, who works as a farmer and a mechanic in his spare time, said that the project started as a joke. His son always asked for a toy tractor, but the father decided to go beyond: he wanted to make a real mini tractor.

With repurposed parts—including a Biz engine, bicycle axles, adapted wheels, and scrap parts—he spent weeks assembling the vehicle. The result was a fully functional tractor, with gears, brakes, clutch, and steering, sized for the boy.

“He always wanted a tractor like mine. So I thought: why not make him a real one? I spent little, used what I had, and the most important thing is to see his joy,” said Evânio.

The “Mini Farmer” Who Charms the Internet

The video published on social media shows Ithan driving the little tractor in the backyard, maneuvering carefully and displaying a broad smile while his father films. Within a few days, the content surpassed 2.2 million views, generating a wave of affectionate comments.

Many internet users expressed their emotions over the father’s gesture and dedication to building something from scratch. Others highlighted his example of creativity and repurposing materials.

“This is the true love of a father. He didn’t buy it, he built it,” commented one follower. “A genius from the countryside, showing that there’s ingenuity and technology in the interior as well,” wrote another user.

From Taió to All of Brazil

The repercussion was so great that the story reached pages and profiles of major media outlets. Farmers from all over the country began to share the video and send messages of support to the family.
In the local community, Ithan earned the nickname “mini farmer” and became a kind of rural celebrity.

Residents of the region report that the boy has always accompanied his father at work, observing the operation of the tractor and the crops. Now, with his own vehicle, he simulates the same tasks on a smaller scale—plowing the yard and transporting small loads.

Artisanal Engineering and Rural Inspiration

The tractor was made entirely by hand, without technical support or a digital project. The father improvised the chassis with iron parts and manual welding, adapting the Biz engine—a propeller of about 100 cc—to move the vehicle.

According to him, the gearbox was the biggest challenge, as he needed to adjust the transmission so that the machine would work at low speed, safely for a child.
The tractor reaches a maximum speed of 10 km/h, and is used only under the father’s supervision.

In addition to being functional, the mini vehicle has a realistic appearance: hood, headlights, pedals, and even stickers that imitate common agricultural tractors.

A Gesture That Symbolizes Love and Resourcefulness of the Field

The story of Evânio and Ithan shows more than creativity. It represents the pride of rural life and the bond between generations that still preserve the value of manual labor and family togetherness.
While in cities, technological toys dominate the market, in the countryside a simple handcrafted project was enough to move the country.

The father’s gesture has become an inspiration for other farmers and mechanics who have also started posting videos of mini machines made at home.

A Tractor That Goes Beyond the Toy

Today, little Ithan does not part with the tractor. He uses the vehicle to ride around, play, and “help” his father with the crops.
The gift, made from scrap, a Biz engine, and a lot of love, has become a symbol of the creativity and simplicity of rural Brazil.

In times of advanced technology and expensive toys, the mini tractor from Taió shows that true innovation also comes from the willingness — and the heart — of a father who dreamed alongside his son.
