Maritime Expansion: “Norcoast” Promises to Revolutionize Coastal Shipping in Brazil.

Rio de Janeiro, October 19, 2023 – In a strategic joint venture, Norsul and Hapag-Lloyd launch “Norcoast”. This partnership aims to strengthen the Brazilian maritime modal, especially coastal shipping, expected to start operations in major ports in the first quarter of 2024.

Angelo Baroncini, CEO of Norsul, emphasizes the synergy stating that Norcoast is the result of the combined expertise of both companies, reflecting a modern vision for coastal shipping in Brazilian ports.

Andrés Kulka, Hapag-Lloyd’s representative for Latin America, notes the importance of the maritime modal and highlights that Brazil presents growing potential in coastal shipping. With this joint venture, they will meet this demand swiftly and integrated.
