TECSCI Revolutionizes Solar Plants with AI, Automation, and Advanced Monitoring, Driving a Sustainable Energy Matrix in Brazil.

TECSCI is transforming the renewable energy sector through automation and artificial intelligence technologies. Focusing its efforts on more than 200 solar plants, the company is leading the transition to a greener energy matrix in Brazil. The focus on optimization ensures that operations at the plants are more efficient and sustainable. Research and development initiatives are happening in full swing in Juiz de Fora, with a significant impact on enhancing the employed technologies.

In addition to its innovative role in the solar field, TECSCI is widely recognized as a organization committed to sustainable solutions. With a capacity of over 600 MW in contracted projects, its range of services includes rigorous monitoring of solar plants, ensuring efficient resource management. Over the years, the company has continued to expand its competence, reflecting its commitment to progress and sustainability in the energy sector. This approach not only promotes a more conscious use of energy but also paves the way for a sustainable future.

TECSCI: Pioneer in Energy Sustainability

Brazil, February 7, 2025 – Brazil solidifies its position as one of the world’s leading influencers in renewable energies, standing out with an energy matrix composed of over 89% clean and sustainable sources. Especially in the solar sector, the country experienced significant advancement in 2024, with 5.4 GW in centralized generation capacity and 7.89 GW in distributed generation systems, reflecting a commitment to a sustainable energy matrix. In a scenario where sustainable practices are increasingly essential, TECSCI asserts itself as an innovative leader in renewable energy.

TECSCI: Innovation and Technology

In light of the growing demands for a sustainable future, the technology company of the MTR Solar Group has significantly invested in artificial intelligence and automation. This aims to optimize the performance of solar plants, radically transforming the way solar energy is managed and produced. With R&D facilities and a manufacturing unit in Juiz de Fora/MG, TECSCI already has a portfolio of over 600 MW in contracted projects for monitoring solar plants throughout Brazil. Solar energy has established itself as a clean alternative to fossil fuels, but it still faces challenges in capturing and converting sunlight efficiently.

Advanced Automation and Monitoring

TECSCI recognizes these challenges and is developing innovative solutions that employ artificial intelligence to monitor in real-time both weather conditions and the position of the sun. This technology enables automatic adjustments to the tilt and orientation of the panels, maximizing energy capture throughout the day. In addition to this optimization, automation plays a crucial role in the operation and maintenance of solar plants. Intelligent monitoring systems can detect failures or degradations before they cause serious problems. With the integration of drones and robots, inspection and preventive maintenance are carried out more efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, prolonging the lifespan of assets.

TECSCI’s Technological Solutions

The director of TECSCI, Eduardo Pestana de Aguiar, highlights the importance of optimizing solar plants to maximize energy generation and minimize operational costs. TECSCI leads by integrating advanced technologies that enable real-time monitoring, predictive maintenance, and intelligent management of the generated energy. These solutions not only increase energy production but also ensure a more efficient use of resources, aligning with the growing demands of a competitive market. TECSCI’s numbers indicate more than 4000 tracker controllers already integrated, as well as over 1.5 GWp in automation projects and more than 500 MWp of commissioned plants.

Digital Transformation in the Solar Sector

According to the director, the digital transformation in the solar sector, driven by companies like TECSCI, opens new opportunities for business and partnerships, fostering a collaborative ecosystem. This benefits energy producers and end consumers. With a technology and efficiency-focused approach, TECSCI is shaping the future of solar energy in Brazil. The company offers innovative solutions for the evolving solar market: Tracker Controllers, which maximize capture even on cloudy days, the Supervisory System (SCADA) which allows effective real-time surveillance and management of photovoltaic assets, and Low and Medium Voltage Automation.

TECSCI’s Strategic Approaches

In September 2024, during Intersolar South America, MTR Solar signed through TECSCI a contract for the supply of over 132 MWp in monitoring for solar plants, encompassing a total of 39 plants in the shared generation model. The ‘Management and Monitoring Platform’ of photovoltaic plants, also from TECSCI, focuses on increasing energy generation by applying artificial intelligence to quickly detect failures and suggest corrective actions to the operation and maintenance team. This system covers all equipment that supports communication via MODBUS TCP/IP, analyzing historical data and predicting future occurrences.

TECSCI: Future and Innovation in Energy Generation

With the solar market in full expansion and a growing demand for Off-Grid projects, TECSCI positions itself to lead the energy transition. The company works not only to provide high-performance solutions but also to create significant value for customers and investors, consolidating its position as a key player in the Brazilian solar energy sector. TECSCI is at the forefront by combining artificial intelligence and automation to create more efficient and sustainable plants. By fostering innovation and collaboration, TECSCI paves the way for a new era in energy production, uniting technology and environmental responsibility.
