With Accelerated Progress, Reports Reveal How Artificial Intelligence Is Already Affecting Technology Workers and Entry-Level Positions
The presence of artificial intelligence in workplaces is no longer a distant concept.
Recent reports show that the replacement of professionals by AI models is already happening in well-known companies.
The promise of efficiency comes with layoffs and devaluation of those who built their careers.

Billion-dollar industry created by artificial intelligence already allows video conversations with deceased relatives using digital avatars that recreate voice, face, and memory in a new frontier of technology.
The CEO of Anthropic, Dario Amodei, stated that half of the entry-level jobs in white-collar sectors could disappear.
Although some view this claim as exaggerated, professionals in the field report that the trend has already begun.
The Code Is Being Mistreated
A software engineer at Google reported that reliance on AI is harming code quality.
Young programmers may be relying too much on machines, while more experienced ones are stopping to think deeply. The result would be a growing volume of poor code.
According to him, this massive production affects the entire software sector chain, including people who weren’t part of the process but rely on what was developed.
Layoffs and Toxic Environment
Another report comes from a former Dropbox employee. The company allegedly eliminated his role after the creation of Dash, the new AI assistant of the company.
The interviewee stated that the sector is “absolutely toxic” and that, even while trying to find a new position, he hasn’t received any feedback.
To him, mass layoffs due to AI are not a temporary phenomenon but part of a deeper and more concerning change.
The Machine as Marketing Director
The most symbolic case came from a marketing professional. He reported that his boss decided to appoint ChatGPT as the new head of the department.
According to him, the model “was not outperforming us” and only produced poor content. The worst part, however, was seeing a colleague use AI as a weapon to humiliate an employee with decades of experience.
After that, the company fired the human marketing director and other team members. The replacement occurred even without superior results.
The Risk of Destroying the Foundation
The stories are piling up. The problem, according to reports, is not just the arrival of AI, but the speed at which it is being imposed.
Even without functioning reliably, employers have dismissed dozens of people with years of accumulated knowledge.
Instead of investing in the training of new talent, companies are opting for the quickest solution — but perhaps the most destructive.
If this pace continues, the risk is losing the foundations of industries before even creating social solutions like universal basic income. The adjustment will be inevitable — and all indications are that it will not be simple.
