Race Between Tesla Cybertruck and Lamborghini Revuelto Highlights How Electric Vehicles Accelerate Quickly, but Supercars Maintain Advantage in Top Speed
Two American YouTubers from the channel Dobre Cars organized an unusual competition. They pitted the Tesla Cybertruck EV against the Lamborghini Revuelto supercar in a drag race. The goal was to compare the performance of an electric vehicle with that of a high-performance hybrid.
The Features of the Two Models
The Lamborghini Revuelto is the brand’s first hybrid supercar, following the teaser with the Sián hypercar. Even with the difference in categories, the result brought some interesting surprises.
The Tesla Cybertruck used was in the Cyberbeast version. This model features all-wheel drive, 845 HP of power, and 864 lb-ft of torque.

Fiat’s forgotten family SUV offers 7 seats, a 2.4 engine with 172 hp, automatic transmission, trunk space of up to 580 liters, and the presence of a large utility vehicle for a price below many new compacts: meet the Fiat Freemont Precision 2015.

German sedan with rear-wheel drive flaunts a 1.6 turbo engine with 156 hp, automatic transmission, 480-liter trunk, premium status, and executive cabin in the range of fully equipped compact zero km: meet the Mercedes-Benz C180 Avantgarde 2015.

Suzuki launches “hybrid family van” with 8 seats, sliding rear door, Toyota Noah-like design, 1.8 electrified engine, and a price equivalent to about R$ 124,000 without taxes, below 7-seater SUVs sold in Brazil: meet the Landy in Japan.
The Lamborghini Revuelto, on the other hand, has a 6.5-liter hybrid V12 engine, generating 1,001 HP and 595 lb-ft of torque.
The Performance at the Start
The superior torque of the Tesla ensured an advantage at the beginning of the race. Right off the line, the Cybertruck got a better launch, taking the lead over the Italian supercar.
However, as the competition progressed, the Lamborghini began to display its potential. With more power available, the Revuelto quickly gained speed, overtook the Tesla, and took a comfortable lead. The higher top speed allowed the supercar to maintain dominance until the end of the race.
Two Rounds of Racing
The YouTubers conducted two rounds. The first started with the vehicles stationary. The second, with a rolling start. Without the initial torque advantage in the second heat, the Lamborghini won even more easily, leaving the Cybertruck behind quickly.
The Lessons from the Competition
The Cybertruck demonstrated how electric vehicles excel in short sprints, thanks to high immediate torque. However, the Revuelto proved the advantage of supercars in sustained speed, maintaining acceleration for a longer time.
Although it was an uneven competition, the test provided an interesting demonstration. It became evident how electric and hybrid technologies offer distinctly different behaviors in high-performance situations.
Conclusion of the Experiment
The clash between Tesla Cybertruck and Lamborghini Revuelto fuels the debate over electric and combustion vehicles. Even with an expected outcome, the experiment was a fun way to showcase these differences. The discussion about which technology is superior should continue.
