Qualify at the State University-UEMA! Remaining Spots in Free Undergraduate Courses. Applications Open!

The State University of Maranhão (UEMA) has launched the Simplified Selection Process for filling 657 remaining spots in various free in-person undergraduate courses for the first semester of 2025. Candidates will be selected based on their scores from the National High School Exam (ENEM) in the 2023 or 2024 editions.

This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking continued education and professional qualification at a renowned higher education institution.

Objective of the Courses and Activities

The free undergraduate courses at State University-UEMA aim to train qualified professionals for the job market and for the exercise of citizenship. In-person activities include theoretical and practical classes, research and extension projects, supervised internships, and complementary activities.

Spots and Locations Offered

The 657 spots are distributed across 17 UEMA campuses located in the following cities:

Campus São Luís: Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Nursing, Civil Engineering, Production Engineering, Geography, History, Letters (Portuguese/English), Mathematics, Pedagogy, Chemistry

Campus Caxias: Biological Sciences, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry

Campus Bacabal: Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science

Campus Balsas: Agronomy, Nursing,

Campus Santa Inês: Administration, Accounting Sciences, Pedagogy

Campus Timon: Nursing, Pedagogy

Campus Lago da Pedra: Natural Sciences, Pedagogy

Campus Zé Doca: Natural Sciences, Pedagogy

Campus Colinas: Agronomy, Pedagogy

Campus São João dos Patos: Biological Sciences, Nursing

Campus Barra do Corda: Natural Sciences, Pedagogy

Who Can Apply?

Candidates who have completed high school and participated in the ENEM 2023 or 2024, with a score of 300 points or higher in the objective tests and a non-zero score in the essay, may apply. Refugees in vulnerable situations can also apply, using their highest score obtained in the ENEM from 2023 onward.

Applications and Timeline

Applications for the free undergraduate courses can be made from February 20 to March 7, 2025, exclusively online, at the site (access here). The application fee is R$ 50.00 and payment can be made until March 10, 2025.
