The XCMG Brazil Mining Truck, Together with Vale, Is Fully Electric, Designed for Mining, and Has a Capacity of 72 Tons
XCMG Brazil, along with Vale, launched a new mining vehicle that is exclusive in size, features, performance, and also in weight. Called the XDR80TE, the electric mining truck was launched in September 2022, with the agreement between the companies made in the first semester of the same year.
With an operating weight of 44,000 Kg, payload of 72,000 Kg, GVW of 116,000 Kg, 6×4, and a 525 kWh battery, the electric truck from Vale and XCMG Brazil stands out in mining, mainly due to XCMG being a pioneer in Brazil in bringing 100% electric equipment and being committed to achieving zero carbon emissions.
Another benefit of the mining truck made in partnership with Vale is that it is FULLY electric, meaning it replaces traditional fuels, emits no CO2, reduces noise, and minimizes the impacts around operations. Additionally, the operational capacity of the mining truck is unmatched, as the lithium batteries, with a capacitydand storage of 525 kWh, can operate up to 36 continuous cycles in the mine.
