About 60% Of Brazilian Beef Exports Go To China In The First Half Of 2020

China Tops The Top 6 Largest Importers Of Brazilian Beef Followed By Egypt, Chile, Russia, Saudi Arabia, And The United States.

Brazil Still Relies Heavily On China To Dispose Of Its Beef Production. According To Data Released By The Brazilian Association Of Refrigerators (Abrafrigo), Brazilian Beef Exports In The First Half Of 2020 Were Approximately 910,000 Tons, An Increase Of 9% Compared To The Previous Year, And The Export Value Was US $ 3.9 Billion, An Increase Of 25% Compared To The Previous Year.

Other Important Market Information

Among Them, Brazil’s Beef Export Volume In June Was 172,000 Tons, An Increase Of 28% Compared To The Previous Year; The Export Value Was US $ 740 Million, An Increase Of 48% Compared To The Previous Year, Both Reaching The Highest Record.

As In 2019, China Remains The Largest Buyer Of Brazilian Beef. In The First Half Of The Year, China Imported A Total Of 519,000 Tons Of Brazilian Beef, Representing 57% Of Total Brazilian Exports. Among Them, China Imported 365,000 Tons, An Increase Of 148% Compared To The Same Period Last Year; Hong Kong, China Imported 154,000 Tons Of Beef, A Decrease Of 10.5% Compared To The Previous Year.

In Terms Of Imports, The Total Amount Of Brazilian Beef Purchased In The Chinese Market Reached US $ 2.37 Billion, Representing 60.5% Of Total Brazilian Beef Exports. In The First Half Of Last Year, Total Chinese Imports Represented 38% Of Total Exports From Brazil.

In The Ranking Of Exporting Countries, Egypt Is The Second Largest Importer Of Brazilian Beef, Followed By Chile, Russia, Saudi Arabia, And The United States.
