Solarprime and Revo Energia Expand Partnership to Offer Solar Energy as a Service, No Upfront Installation and Maintenance Costs, Reducing Electricity Bills Month by Month.
Solarprime and Revo Energia announced the intensification of their collaboration to make solar energy available in a revolutionary format called ‘energy as a service’. In this model, consumers do not have to bear upfront costs for the installation and maintenance of solar energy systems, benefiting directly from reduced electricity bills.
By adopting this innovative approach of energy as a service, the partnership aims to facilitate access to sustainable energy. Through the use of photovoltaic systems, customers ensure that their energy needs are met in an efficient and environmentally friendly way. This initiative reflects a commitment to a cleaner and more economical future, promoting a smooth transition to renewable energy. This collaboration promises to transform the way energy is consumed and reinforces both companies’ commitment to leading the change in the energy sector.
Innovative Solar Energy Model
In the model known as ‘energy as a service‘, consumers have the chance to obtain solar panels in their homes without needing to purchase the photovoltaic system or bear the costs of installing and maintaining the equipment. This innovative model is a unique opportunity for those who wish to use solar energy without high initial investments.

In this format, low voltage consumers can hire the service and generate their own solar energy through a photovoltaic plant implemented by Solarprime. This significantly reduces the dependence on the public grid and protects users from the variations of tariff flags, representing a significant advantage in terms of savings.
Contracting Without Investments
The foundations of the energy as a service model are quite simple. They offer customers the possibility to generate their own solar energy without needing investments for the installation and maintenance of the photovoltaic system. The customer receives a discount on their electricity bill every month, calculated based on the green flag, generating additional continuous savings.
At the end of the contract, the customer becomes the owner of the photovoltaic plant, allowing energy generation without additional costs. Silvio Antunes, head of Channels at Revo Energia, explains that this business structure allows substantial savings for the end customer, providing a sustainable and economical solution.
Analogies to Illustrate
To illustrate the concept of energy as a service, Sandro Cubas, co-founder of Solarprime, uses an analogy with the use of a car. He compares the offer to the situation in which a person receives a car and fuel at a price 20% lower than usual, without needing to acquire the car. This business model innovates by providing all the advantages of a photovoltaic system with guaranteed maintenance, insurance, and monthly discounts on the electricity bill.
Thus, solar energy is presented as an accessible and advantageous solution for consumers who wish to save and contribute to sustainability. This approach allows individuals to use a high-quality system without upfront costs, encouraging the adoption of renewable energy.
Criteria and Requirements
To join the energy as a service model, it is necessary for the customer to meet some specific requirements. Firstly, they must have a consumer unit of Group B (low voltage) with monthly bills starting from R$ 400. Additionally, the customer must undergo a credit analysis, which is more flexible than that of traditional banks.
It is not permitted to combine consumptions from other consumer units or dimension the photovoltaic system beyond need. These criteria ensure that the service is offered fairly and efficiently, benefiting both the customer and the supplier.
Protection Against Tariff Flags
Adopting energy as a service allows the customer to protect themselves from tariff flags, such as the red flag triggered by Aneel (National Electric Energy Agency) in September, which imposes an additional cost of R$ 4.463 for every 100 kilowatt-hours (kWh) consumed. With solar energy, the consumer no longer has to depend on the Regulated Contracting Environment (Captive Market), where prices are negotiated in auctions by distribution companies.
This offers an important advantage: in addition to saving 20% without upfront investments, the customer is free from fluctuations of tariff flags, mitigating impacts from drought and water crises in the country. This independence is one of the greatest attractions of the energy as a service model.
About Solarprime
Solarprime is the largest network of franchises of photovoltaic solar energy in Brazil, operating since 2014 with thousands of systems installed in various areas, including residential, commercial, industrial, and rural. Present in all Brazilian states and the Federal District with over 460 units, the company has distinguished itself through innovation and expansion.
Entry into the franchise segment occurred in 2016, aiming to expand services throughout the national territory. With an approach that combines financial savings and sustainability, Solarprime became the largest solar energy franchise network in the country, certified by ABF (Brazilian Franchising Association). In 2024, it rose 24 positions in the ABF ranking, being among the 20 largest microfranchises in Brazil, in 15th place, demonstrating solid and constant growth.
