The Federal Institute of Minas Gerais offers 16 internship positions with a stipend of R$ 1,508.42 and a hybrid regime. Free registration until May 31.

Undergraduates from various fields have until May 31, 2026 to register for free in one of the most comprehensive selection processes for internships in the federal public sector in Minas Gerais. The Federal Institute of Minas Gerais (IFMG) has made available 16 positions through announcement 08/2026, with a monthly stipend of R$ 1,508.42, transportation allowance of R$ 13.40 per day of in-person work, and the possibility of working in a hybrid regime. The opportunities are for undergraduate students, and the workplace is the institution’s headquarters, in the Buritis neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte.

Who can participate in the Federal Institute’s selection process?

One of the features that makes this announcement unique is the range of courses covered. Unlike selections restricted to a single area, the IFMG opened positions for undergraduates from quite varied profiles, which considerably broadens the number of eligible candidates.

Among the accepted degrees are:

  • Administration, Law, Accounting, and Economics;
  • Architecture and Urbanism, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Management;
  • Journalism, Social Communication, Advertising, and Propaganda;
  • Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology;
  • Literature, Pedagogy, History, Philosophy, Social Sciences, and Anthropology;
  • Statistics, Mathematics, Geography, and related areas;
  • General Teaching Degrees, Graphic Design, Cinema and Video, among others.

The announcement also includes quotas for black or brown candidates and for people with disabilities, following the current federal legislation. Additionally, it is allowed to apply for more than one position, as long as the student meets the requirements of each area.

Workload, benefits, and where the intern will work

The weekly workload is 30 hours, distributed according to the demands of each sector between in-person and remote activities. This flexibility makes the opportunity compatible with the academic routine of the students.

All selected candidates will work at the IFMG Rectorate, located in the Buritis neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte. The environment offers direct contact with administrative and institutional routines of a federal agency, which represents a relevant experience for professional training in any area.

The contract has an initial duration of six months, with the possibility of renewal for up to two years. The relationship is formalized through an Internship Commitment Term (TCE), signed between the student, IFMG, and the affiliated educational institution.
