Honda Launches WR-V 2026 in Brazil with Focus on Comfort, Space, and Cost-Effectiveness
The launch of the new Honda WR-V 2026 marks the return of one of the most awaited SUVs in the Brazilian automotive market.
The Japanese automaker presented this week, in Brazil, the new completely revamped model, available in EX and EXL versions, starting prices of R$ 144,900, and focus on space, comfort, and cost-effectiveness.
Honda bets that the new WR-V, now with a true SUV stance, will win over not only customers from competitors but also consumers of its own HR-V, thanks to the combination of robust design, complete equipment, and efficient engine.

Forget the basic popular car: used sedans like Passat CC, Kia Cerato, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Lancer, and Volvo S60 show that it’s still possible to buy more performance, comfort, and technology for less than many new compacts.
-
Used Honda Civic: 3 versions of the Japanese sedan with naturally aspirated engines of up to 155 hp, fuel consumption of up to 13.8 km/l, robust automatic transmission, and a reputation for reliable mechanics still dominate the used car market in Brazil.

From Adventurous Hatch to True SUV
Out of the market since 2022, the Honda WR-V 2026 returns completely redesigned and produced in Brazil.
With more generous dimensions and typical proportions of medium SUVs, the new model arrives measuring 4.32 meters in length, 1.79 m in width, and a wheelbase of 2.65 m—dimensions larger than rivals such as Volkswagen T-Cross, Fiat Pulse, and Renault Kardian.
The proposition is clear: to offer a car with the size of a medium SUV but the price of a compact. Honda expects that 60% of buyers will come from other brands, reinforcing the goal of increasing the automaker’s presence in the national automotive market.
Modern Design and Imposing Visuals
Visually, the Honda WR-V 2026 stands out for its more robust style aligned with the brand’s new global identity.
The front features sharp LED headlights, a prominent front grille, and an elevated hood that conveys strength. On the sides, the pronounced wheel arches and high waistline enhance the muscular look.
The rear also impresses with LED taillights with a distinctive lighting signature. The 17-inch alloy wheels are standard on all versions, while the roof rack differentiates the more complete EXL version.
Spacious Interior and Notable Ergonomics
Upon entering the new WR-V, the driver finds an environment inspired by the Honda City line, with a clean and well-organized dashboard. The elevated driving position provides excellent visibility, while the internal space is among the best in its category.
The trunk capacity of 458 liters reinforces the model’s family and urban appeal. The interior finish, although simple, has precise assembly and pleasant textures to the touch.
Moreover, Honda claims to have used sound-absorbing materials to ensure a quiet and comfortable cabin—a significant differential in its price range.
Standard Safety with Honda SENSING
The WR-V 2026 enters the market with the Honda SENSING package in all versions, the same advanced safety system found in more expensive models from the brand.
It includes adaptive cruise control (ACC), automatic emergency braking (CMBS), lane-keeping assist (LKAS), lane departure mitigation (RDM), and automatic high beam (AHB).
In addition, the SUV features six airbags, hill start assist, stability and traction control (VSA), Isofix, Top Tether, parking sensors, and multiview rear camera.
1.5 Naturally Aspirated Engine and Good Fuel Efficiency
Under the hood, the Honda WR-V 2026 is equipped with a 1.5 DI i-VTEC flex naturally aspirated engine, delivering 126 hp and a maximum torque of 15.8 kgfm, coupled with a CVT transmission that simulates seven gears. Honda confirmed that the model will not have a turbo version, reserving that setup exclusively for the HR-V.
Fuel consumption is efficient: 8.2 km/l with ethanol and 12 km/l with gasoline in urban cycles, and up to 12.8 km/l in highway driving.
Technology and Connectivity
Another highlight is the My Honda Connect system, which allows users to monitor the vehicle in real-time, lock and unlock the doors remotely, schedule maintenance, and receive alerts via the app.
The versions also come with an extensive list of features: 10-inch multimedia center with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7” digital dashboard, automatic digital air conditioning, split rear seat, and push-button start.
The EXL version adds leather seats, wireless charger, rear armrest with cup holders, and LED fog lights.
Extended Warranty and Family Proposal
Honda offers a six-year warranty with no mileage limit, one of the biggest differentiators in its category. This initiative reinforces the brand’s confidence in the model’s durability and quality.
On the other hand, normal wear items, such as tires and brake pads, are not covered. Still, the proposition is to deliver peace of mind and predictability in maintenance costs.
Additionally, the new model shows that Honda wants to strengthen its presence in new cars with excellent cost-effectiveness. The brand aims to cater to those looking for a modern, reliable, and economical SUV.
Thus, the WR-V 2026 assumes a strategic role between the City and the HR-V. It is an option aimed at those seeking versatility and safety without sacrificing a sophisticated design and pleasant driving experience.
