SIM Distribuidora strengthens its presence in Minas Gerais with a new base in Betim, aiming to improve its logistics and achieve greater operational efficiency. This initiative is part of SIM Distribuidora’s strategy to expand its operations in the southeastern region of Brazil and provide even more agile and effective service to its customers.
By opening this new base, the company aims to support its future growth, with the expectation of expanding by 5% to 10% by 2025. As part of the Argenta Group, the company reaffirms its commitment to excellence and innovation in the distribution sector. This new operation represents a significant milestone in SIM Distribuidora’s trajectory.

Strategic Choice of Betim
The selection of Betim as an entry point for Minas Gerais is due to its strategic location in the metropolitan area of Belo Horizonte, an area of significant economic relevance and home to the highest GDP in the state. ‘The base in Betim represents our entry into the state of Minas Gerais, one of the most dynamic areas of Brazil’, says Felipe Portugal, CEO of SIM Distribuidora.
Access to the Interior of Minas Gerais
This base is just the beginning of a larger plan, aimed at expanding our presence to other regions of the state. Starting in the metropolitan area is crucial for our future expansion strategy, which includes the interior of Minas Gerais,’ explains Felipe Portugal, director of SIM Distribuidora.
Service to Resellers and Consumers
Initially, the new base will serve gas station resellers, TRRs (Transporters and Retailers), and end consumers, providing all types of fuels, such as diesel, gasoline, and ethanol. The expectation is that operations in Minas Gerais will contribute to a 5% to 10% growth in the total volume of the distributor by the end of 2025.
Reach and Logistic Reinforcement
The installation symbolizes, in addition to greater reach, a reinforcement in service to cities in Minas Gerais near the border with São Paulo, which were already supplied by the distribution network of this other state, especially via Ribeirão Preto and Paulínia.
Efficiency and Cost Reduction
The expansion to Minas Gerais is part of a comprehensive expansion strategy by SIM Distribuidora to enhance logistic efficiency and reduce costs, thus increasing competitiveness. The forecast is that by December 2025, SIM Distribuidora will sell 20 cubic meters of fuel in the state.
New Business Opportunities
Presence in Minas Gerais will allow the company to explore new business opportunities, especially in the agribusiness sector, which is a strategic priority in all regions where the distributor operates. ‘Being in Minas Gerais not only expands our market presence but also allows us to form new partnerships and optimize our logistics, which is essential for better serving our customers and effectively expanding our operations,’ concludes the CEO of SIM Distribuidora.
