DeepOcean, Norwegian Subsea Operations Provider, Acquired Btwn to Expand Its Autonomous Capabilities in Digital Transformation.

The ocean services company DeepOcean, based in Norway, has strengthened its presence in the digitalization market by acquiring Btwn, a company specialized in digital transformation and automation of subsea operations.

In addition to becoming an integral part of DeepOcean’s digital innovation team, Btwn will continue to operate as an independent brand, serving existing customers and other potential clients of the company. The acquisition of Btwn is part of DeepOcean’s strategy to position itself as a leader in digitalization and automation of subsea operations.

Expansion of the Digital Innovation Team

The acquisition of Btwn will strengthen DeepOcean’s internal development team and customer-focused digital innovation projects across these areas, according to Øyvind Mikaelsen, CEO of DeepOcean.

Emphasis on Digitalization of Subsea Services

‘Digitalization of our subsea services and projects, autonomous and uncrewed vessels are the pillars of our technological development strategy. Adding the competence and capability of Btwn will enable us to further intensify these efforts for the benefit of our customers.

Cooperation with Remota JV

‘Moreover, our cooperation with Remota JV, which provides Remote Operation Centers for maritime and offshore operations, complements this offering. Our primary focus is to help reduce operational costs and emissions for offshore energy asset operators,’ said Mikaelsen.
